LITTER PICK – SATURDAY 29TH MARCH
Thanks to everyone who came along to the litter pick. It’s amazing what you can achieve together in one hour!
COMMITTEE
Ella Weatherhead and Alison Blake were elected to share the role of President for the current year 2025-6. They are ordinary members like everyone else, pay the same membership fees, and give their time freely, so all members have a responsibility to help make things happen for the benefit of everyone else. There is still the opportunity to co-opt three more members to the committee, so there is still time for YOU to join them!
SPRING FAIR
We received the following response to our help at Dr Kershaw’s fundraising event in November. And the final total for our cake stall was £287.70.
“On behalf of everyone at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, I’d like to thank you for your incredible contribution to the recent Christmas Fayre. Despite the last-minute change of plan with our marquee, you maintained such a positive and professional attitude that didn’t go unnoticed by our guests or members of staff.
I want you to know how much I appreciate yours and the Saddleworth Women’s Institutes’ support at our event, without your help it simply wouldn’t be possible to raise the vital funds our Hospice needs.
I’m delighted to announce that we raised over £5,000! This money will go directly towards patient care, supporting our patients and their families at what can be a very difficult time in their lives. Given the circumstances, I think we have raised a fantastic amount for the Hospice.
